Flunk 2021 album

We are happy to announce a brand new album to be released in 2021.
Two of the tracks are out as singles, “Down Here/Moon Above” and “Ashes to Ashes”. January 22 will see the release of a third track, “Under the Covers”.
The album will be out on May 28, 2021. The album is called “History of Everything Ever”.
We can’t wait to get this new music out to you. We also hope to see you next year, hoping that we will be able for travel next autumn.
Before wishing you a happy new year, we also must bring you the sad news that our drummer, Erik Ruud, has decided to leave Flunk. He’s been with us since touring our very first album, almost 20 years ago. He will be missed both musically and as the world’s best company on our trips.
For Sleepyheads Only: Limited edition re-press

A limited edition re-press of our debut album, ‘For Sleepyheads Only’, is available on vinyl and CD in selected record stores.
For the first time all the ‘Sleepyheads Sessions’ tracks are available.
‘Indian Rope Trick’, only available on a compilation album prior to ‘For Sleepyheads Only’, is also released as a digital single today.

Album out today
Some more pics from our practice sessions. The new album is out today, and we’re looking forward to the show tonight (more pics here)
And oh, here’s the new single
The album is still not completely finished, but the first single is.
It’s called ‘Common Sense’ and you get it below. There are also some tracks off the album sessions up on our MySpace site.
The album, called ‘This Is What You Get’, is due on May 11.
The tracklist is not yet decided upon, but the title do imply that our cover of Radiohead’s ‘Karma Police’ will be on the album.

And here’s the remix album
Here is the tracklist for our remix album. All are from our ‘remix competition’:

06 Diet of Water and Love (Rumorse Remix)
07 Personal Stereo (Tomasz Bednarczyk Remix)
08 If We Kiss (Zee’s Chillin’ Remix)
09 Diet of Water and Love (Manu Remix)
10 Personal Stereo (Lume Remix)
11 Personal Stereo (Sagevik Remix)
12 Diet of Water and Love (Lume Remix)
13 Personal Stereo (Ian verone & Jolly Remix)
14 If We Kiss (Do I Get Help Lume Remix)
15 Personal Stereo (Sweet Version by One Man Orchestra)
16 If We Kiss (Howard Maple’s Personal Stereo Mix)
The plan is to release it on iTunes and other digital services at a nice price. All tracks will also be available as free downloads on our website soon, along with the mixes that did not get on the album (for practical reasons we had to limit the number of tracks to squeeze it on one CD, but we would have liked to put them all on the iTunes album).
We will have the release date soon.
Democracy is free. Possibly.
We’ve had a ‘remix competition’ going for some months, and the ‘deadline’ was this week. We received more than 20 mixes of Personal Stereo, If We Kiss and Diet of Water and Love, and at least two facts are quite overwhelming:
a) Almost all of them are really, really fresh and interesting sounds, and thankfully a bunch of the mixes also could be described as ‘slightly odd’. A tag we like! :-)
b) The mixes have come from all over – from Norway to Australia and Canada.
First of all, thanks to you all!
We will put together an album of most of the mixes (within the time limits of one CD). It will be released digitally, and hopefully we will be able to make it a totally free album. Have to get back to you on that one (not sure if iTunes etc dig the idea…). We’ve decided to call it Democracy, and the full tracklist will be on our website shortly!
You can listen to most of the mixes via our remix page.
