Flunk consists of producer Ulf and guitarist Jo Bakke, both from Norway.
Their music is about letting the «music speak softly». Basically, it's
downbeat electronica from Norway. There's a cover of the classic «Blue
Monday», but it's not a patch on the original. The female singer sounds
like Björk and the male, David Bowie. The album has a bit more to offer
than the usual ambient electronic music. The album is plastered with
talented, mellow guitar playing, something which really lifts it. There's
also some impressive sampling, especially on «I Love Music» and
«Sugar Planet». This album's worth a listen.
